Product Overview
Cissus Rhombifolia ` Ellen Danica` The Grape Ivy
An unusually difficult plant to find these days, but was once the go to plant for an easy care hanger. An actual member of the Vitis family, as are actual grapes, the deep green, oak-shaped leaves give a lush feeling and texture. Very tolerant of different light levels, and sporadic watering make it a firm favourite for those trickier spots in the home. Great in a hang pot, trailing from a high shelf, or given something to climb.
Very easy to grow:
Completely happy in shade to indirect light.
Water well then dry thoroughly. Allow at least half of the compost to dry between watering.
Adapts to a wide range of temperatures 15-24c.
Prune to length, and to create a bushier plant.
Fertilise sparingly, just once or twice with a diluted half strength liquid feed in Spring and Summer.
To help humidity group together with other plants, place the pot on a saucer of moist pebbles / gravel, and regular misting will all benefit your plant.
Minimum Temp: 10c
In Winter, when temperatures are lower, and growth is slow, reduce the amount and frequency of water, again making sure to allow the soil to dry thoroughly between watering. This will take longer, so don`t be hasty. Do not fertilise.
Warnings: Pet safe
Not known to be toxic to pets and humans.
