Product Overview

Senecio Peregrinus – Jumping Dolphins.

A quirky and unusual trailing succulent, with fleshy leaves that literally look like miniature jumping dolphins.

Quite hard to come by, so add one to your collection when available.

Low maintenance. A close relative to the String of Beads.

Senecio Peregrinus prefer a bright position, and will tolerate occasional morning / evening sun.

On average water once a week in the growing season ( Spring and Summer ) but make sure you allow the top 1/3rd of the compost to dry again before watering.

The worst thing to do is to keep the compost overly wet, which will lead to the fleshy stems becoming soft and rotten.

Ideally suited to average room temperatures while growing, 18-25c is ideal.

Average humidity, they don`t mind dry air.

Fertilise once a month with a half strength diluted liquid cacti and succulent feed.

Minimum Temp: 13c

The plant will go dormant in Winter, and will only need watering approx. once a month.

It`s happy in lower temperatures, down to 13c, and do not fertilise.

This Winter rest may encourage your plant to flower next Spring.

As a member of the succulent family these plants are shallow rooted so do not need repotting very often.

When needed only use a slightly larger pot, keep the crown of the plant at the same soil level and use a free draining Cacti / Succulent compost.

Propagation by stem cuttings is usually successful. Take a 10cm cutting from the tip of a stem and press in to the moist soil, will usually root quickly.

Warnings:

Problematic to children and pets if consumed.

Best practice is to keep out of reach of children and pets.
