Incredibly tough, compact, rosette forming alpine succulents that will thrive outdoors in the UK.
Native to the mountainous regions of Southern and Central Europe, they survive in temperatures as low as -15c.
With well over 4000 cultivars, they will add significant colour, and texture to any pot, rockery or garden.
Plant out in a very free draining position, in full sun. Basically anywhere sunny, or in any container. They`re often used as living roofs.
Top dress the soil with fine gravel or grit, this will help keep excess moisture from the plant and will encourage plant health.
Plants will multiply by offsets, and generally flower only once from each rosette.
