Dark green leaves are borne on spiny branches.
Scented flowers throughout Spring and Summer are followed by the oval, yellow fruits.
Lemons are an ancient hybrid.
Best grown outdoors when temperatures are above 5 degrees C, and over Wintered in a frost free position, although they do become hardier as they mature.
All parts of the fruit are used universally in a wide range of food and drinks.
