Product Overview
Lavender are one of the most popular garden plants.
Lavenders are technically evergreen, whereas in warmer climates they retain their silver / grey foliage all year, however our cooler climate will often cause the plants to become dormant between late Autumn to early Spring, and the foliage will turn brown and die back. This is quite natural and as the weather warms the Lavender will once again become full of new shoots.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil.
Cut back flowers once faded.
Prune the plant after the first flush of flowers, Mid-Spring, just make sure that you leave some green shoots on the stems to mature. Lavender flower on new wood, so pruning annually will improve flowering, and help stop the stems becoming tall and woody.
Fairly drought tolerant, so generally don`t need extra watering in the garden. Plants in pots will need a little extra during the hottest times of the year. Try not to wet the foliage and flowers, water the base is best.
