Kumquat are of Chinese origin, and translate as Golden Orange.
The small, oval fruits are tangy, although the peel is surprisingly sweet.
Glossy leaves and fragrant flowers are followed by small oval fruits.
Fruits are often eaten whole, or sliced.
Best grown outdoors when temperatures are above 5 degrees C, and over Wintered in a frost free position.
