Cascade or Cat Palm is a great, beginner friendly tropical houseplant ideally suited to general indoor conditions.
Although they tolerate a shady spot, they thrive in bright, indirect light.
Average room temperatures above 18c to high 20`s is ideal.
Keep away from direct heat sources, or cold draughts.
Water well, then allow the top inch or so to dry between waterings. If possible use collected rainwater, this helps reduce the build up of soluble salts found in tap water.
Palm fronds tend to be dust catchers. Keep them clean with an occosional wipe down with a clean, damp cloth.
Re-pot only when the current pot is over crowded, using only a slightly larger pot and good quality free draining houseplant compost.
