Juncus Spiralis – Corkscrew Rush.

A great little novelty grass native to North America with very unusual curly corkscrew stems growing in every direction.

Easy care and evergreen make them a great addition to your plant collection.

The perfect plant for an over waterer, or a beginner.

Follow these simple tips and your plant will thrive.

Juncus are native marsh plants so require constantly soggy soil, even standing water.

Water thoroughly, and keep constantly wet. It`s best to keep the plant in a container with water in.

Never allow to dry out as the plant will definitely suffer, the stems will go yellow, then brown.

Keep in bright light to full sun, tolerates partial shade but growth will be slower.

May flower in Summer, but the blooms are insignificant in terms of appearance.

As a houseplant repot approx. every 2 years.

Juncus Spiralis can be planted out, or used as a marginal pond plant.

Plant out in constantly moist soil, or pot in to a pond basket and place in the margins of your pond.

Once mature a prune in early Spring will benefit the plant, creating lush new growth.

Propagate by dividing the rhizome. Cut with a sharp sterile knife and repot each section in to fresh, water retentive compost.

This plant is classified as mildly toxic.

Keep away from pets and children.
