Davallia Humata.
A fascinating little Fern that produces furry rhizomes that grow outside of the pot, giving it its common name of White Rabbits Foot or Hares Foot Fern. The lush green fronds, and quirky legs, make this an interesting plant for your collection. An easy care plant that is ideal in a kitchen, or bathroom.
Prefers bright, indirect light, though easily adapts to lower light levels.
Keep evenly moist during the warmer months, not waterlogged, and never dry out. Water well once the top of the soil becomes touch dry.
Average room temperatures between 18-24c is ideal, fairly tough and will survive occasional temperatures down to 10c.
Loves humidity, which makes them great in a kitchen or bathroom, or help to increase humidity by placing on a saucer of moist gravel. Regular misting in warmer months will also benefit the plant.
Feed sparingly through Spring and Summer with a diluted half strength liquid houseplant feed every 2 – 3 weeks.
May shed some foliage over Winter, which is natural, this will be replaced during next seasons new growth.
Not known to be toxic to pets or humans.
